Mark L. Leyman 1950-2026

LAKE MILTON — Mark L. Leyman, age 75, of Lake Milton, passed away peacefully into eternal rest on Thursday, Feb 19, 2026, at the Hospice House in Poland.

He was born July 16, 1950, in Salem, the son of the late Henry Glenn and Lydia Mueller Leyman.

Mark married the love of his life, Phyllis A. Forst, on July 5, 2002, and they have enjoyed 24 blessed years of marriage together.

Mark worked as a conductor/switch operator for the Mahoning Valley Railway for over 30 years. He also worked at Republic N & T in Canton.

Mark was a member of the U.S. Army, serving during peace time.

He loved doing yard work, helping his neighbors and going for walks by the lake with his wife. Mark also was an avid Cleveland Browns fan. He was the best father and stepdad that anyone could ask for.

Memories of Mark will be carried on by his loving family: his wife, Phyllis of Lake Milton; his three daughters, Lisa Leyman and Jamie White, both of Newton Falls, and Jessica and Jason Hileman of Howland; his son, Jason White of Lake Milton; his four sisters, Patricia, Linda, Darlene and Deborah; and his brother, Philip Leyman.

Mark was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Melissa White; four sisters, Daisy, Milly, Connie and Twila; and six brothers, Richard, Thomas, Daniel, Theador, William and Paul.

Cremation has taken place, and there will be no services.

The family has requested that all donations be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741, in his memory.
