Lucille C. Hudak 1928-2026

STRUTHERS — Lucille C. Hudak, 97, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2026, at her home.

She was born Oct. 19, 1928, in Campbell, daughter of the late Anthony and Antoinette Furtak Wilk.

Lucille was a graduate of Campbell Memorial High School.

She married her husband, Victor E. Hudak, in 1953; he passed in May 1976.

She started working as a bookkeeper for Youngstown Sheet and Tube when she was 16 and then worked as a cleaning lady for many years, but first and foremost, she loved taking care of her family.

She was a member of Christ Our Savior Parish-St. Nicholas Church in Struthers and was involved with the crochet circle at the church.

Lucille loved listening to music; she cherished the sounds of the piano and the lively spirit of the polka — especially when it meant taking the dance floor with her husband. She also loved her spaghetti and pirohy.

Lucille is survived by her children, Daniel (LuAnn) Hudak, Philip (Helen) Hudak, Victor J. (Kim) Hudak, Deborah Fetsko and Charles Hudak. She is also survived by her sister, Elizabeth Franks; 14 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Along with her parents, Lucille was preceded in death by her husband, Victor E. Hudak; brother, Chester Wilk; and a great-grandson, Joe Krause.

Visitation will take place 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 2, 2026, at the Kirila Funeral Home Inc., 258 Poland Ave., Struthers.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Monday at Christ Our Savior Parish-St. Nicholas Church, following visitation.

Interment will follow in St. John Cemetery.

Contributions may be made to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul at svdpmahoning.org in Lucille’s honor.
