Lorrie Dunlap 1970-2026 Brandon Dunlap 1997-2026

Lorrie was born Dec. 12, 1970, the daughter of Jack and Dorothy Gardner. She was a lifelong resident of Youngstown and a 1988 graduate of East High School.

Lorrie was artistic and nurturing and had a laugh that you could never forget.

Lorrie devoted her life to caring for her son, Brandon, who had Down syndrome. Not a minute went by that Lorrie wasn’t nurturing and caring for her son.

Brandon Lee Dunlap was born March 7, 1997, the son of Edward Dunlap and Lorrie Gardner.

Brandon’s gentle smile and kind demeanor lit up every room he was in. From the biggest and brightest smile to the way he loved to play with all the girls’ hair, Brandon was truly an angel on earth. He enjoyed watching movies, spending time with his big brother, loving on his Hunny, and of course, being with his mom.

Left to cherish Lorrie’s memory are her son, Michael Dunlap; mother, Dorothy Gardner; sister, Terri Valentino; brother, Jack Gardner; and several nieces and nephews, along with a host of other relatives.

Left to cherish Brandon’s memory are his father, Edward Dunlap; his brother, Michael Dunlap; his “Hunny,” Dorothy Gardner; his grandmother, Mary Dunlap; his grandfather, Harley Dunlap Sr.; and a host of cousins and other relatives.

Waiting at heaven’s gates were their beloved family members, Jack Gardner, Gloria Jones, Walter and Lena Whiteside, and several aunts, uncles and loved ones.

The family will be honoring their loved ones at a private celebration of life.
