Linda A. Baird 1945-2026

Linda was born June 20, 1945, in Venice Beach, Florida, a daughter of the late Martin and Anna McCann Flatinger.

She was a graduate of Greenford High School and had been a cook at Lake Front Golf Course for 28 years. Prior to that, she worked at Packard Electric.

Linda was a member of Greenford Christian Church. She enjoyed gardening and cooking and, according to her family, made the best bundt cakes — especially her cinnamon cake. She loved riding her golf cart around Greenford and looked forward to her daily trips to McDonald’s as a proud member of the McDonald’s Breakfast Club.

Her husband, Raymond Baird, whom she married July 16, 1963, passed away March 12, 2018.

She leaves her children: Todd (Michelle) Baird of Greenford, Pam (Scott) Choffin of Salem, Richard (Nissa) Baird of North Lima and Wayne Baird of Canfield; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Janet Flatinger of the U.K.; and her stepmother, Irmgard Flatinger.

In addition to her parents and husband, Linda was preceded in death by a daughter, Cindy Baird; a brother, Martin Flatinger; and a sister, Renata Boylan.

Friends may call 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at Lane Funeral Home, Canfield Chapel.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 12, at the funeral home.
