Joseph M. Seinkner Jr. 1952-2026

CANFIELD — Joseph Michael Seinkner Jr. passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, Jan. 29, 2026, after a courageous battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML), surrounded by the love of his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Sr. and Clara Seinkner, and his son, Jason Seinkner.

Joseph shared a remarkable 52-year love story with his devoted wife, Donna Seinkner, a marriage built on love, loyalty and a lifetime of memories. He was a proud and loving father to his daughter, Dawn Tomko, and a cherished grandfather to Christopher DeDonato, Dominic DeDonato, Xavier Tomko and Nathan Seinkner. Even in loss, Joseph kept the memory of his son Jason in his heart, alongside the joy he shared with his daughter Dawn and grandchildren.

Joseph honorably served in the United States Army, reflecting his strong character, dedication and sense of duty.

An avid clock collector, he appreciated craftsmanship and history. He also loved his cars and took great pride in his home with Donna — especially their holiday decorations and the beautiful flowers they tended to each summer. His humor and hands-on spirit were unmatched; nothing was deemed broken until Joe tried to fix it.

Joseph will be remembered for his strength, kindness, unwavering devotion to his family and the quiet ways he brought joy to those around him. His legacy lives on through the family he cherished and the many lives he touched.

Calling hours will be 10:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 7, at Vaschak-Kirila Funeral Home on Canfield Road in Cornersburg. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 1 p.m. at St. Catherine of Siena Parish-St. Charles Church in Boardman.
