John M. Fedor 1940-2026

CANFIELD — John Michael Fedor, 85, passed away Monday, Feb. 23, 2026, at Heritage Manor in Youngstown.

John was born Oct. 30, 1940, in Youngstown, a son of Michael and Catherine Fedor.

He graduated from East High School in 1958 and wed Gloria Guerrieri on July 22, 1961, at St. Elizabeth Church in Campbell. Together John and Gloria shared 64 years of marriage, creating a family life filled with love and happiness.

Upon graduation, John proudly served in the Army National Guard.

Throughout his life, he held various jobs, including driver / salesman for Isaly’s dairy and owner / operator of Isaly’s in Boardman. He retired in 2003 from Schwebel Baking Company with over 33 years of service, starting as a driver / salesman and through hard work and dedication, advanced to agency manager.

After retirement, John worked part time for Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home and served St. Charles Church as a Eucharistic minister, senior altar server, parish council member and financial clerk.

One of his favorite pastimes was having morning coffee at Burger King with the “Romeo Club,” where they shared many laughs and lively conversation. John was an avid bowler and golfer, participating in many local leagues. He also enjoyed playing morra and was a member of the Youngstown Morra League.

John is survived by his daughters, Christine (Troy) Rhoades and Michele (Frank) Bova; grandchildren, Maria and Geno Bova; and in-laws, Judy and Bob Pavalko.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria, and his parents, Michael and Catherine Fedor.

Family and friends may pay their respects 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 27, 2026, at Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4221 Market St., Boardman.

There will be a funeral Mass 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, 2026, at St. Charles Borromeo Roman Catholic Parish, 7345 Westview Drive, with the Very Rev. Monsignor John Zuraw J.C.L.,V.G. as celebrant. Everyone is asked to meet directly at the church.

Entombment will take place in Calvary Cemetery, Youngstown.
