David J. Cash 1958-2026
CAMPBELL — David Jerome Cash, 67, departed this life at 7:45 a.m. Friday, Jan. 30, 2026, at the Oasis Center for Rehabilitation and Healing, following complications from an extended illness.
He was born May 31, 1958, in Youngstown, the son of Ralph M. and Leola Gore Cash Sr. He was a 1976 graduate of Campbell Memorial High School.
David was employed with Polaris Window Factory for 10 years as an assembler before retiring in 1998. He also worked for the Indiana Department of Corrections.
He was a member of Greater Liberty Baptist Church, where he served on the usher board and enjoyed being a handyman.
He served honorably in the U.S. Army as a PFC-E3 from 1977 to 1980 as a multichannel communications equipment operator, receiving the Sharpshooter Badge with M-15 Rifle Bar and Expert Badge with Hand Grenade Bar.
He leaves to mourn three sons, Ronald Cash of Youngstown, David Cash and Andrei Cash, both of Campbell; one daughter, Ms. Shanelle Cash of Canton; one brother, Eric Keith (Casandra) Cash of Campbell; one sister, Mrs. Deeonna (Kenneth) Hobby-Staples of Tampa, Florida; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Sandra Cash of Campbell; and a host of relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Williams Cash; parents, Ralph and Leola Cash Sr.; and one brother, Ralph Cash Jr.
Funeral services will be 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2026, at the Sterling-McCullough Williams Youngstown Funeral Chapel, with calling hours from noon to 12:30 p.m.
Arrangements of comfort were handled by Sterling-McCullough Williams Youngstown Funeral Home.
