Catherine P. Parks 1952-2026

She was born on Nov. 28, 1952, to James and Dorothy Simpson. Though she was sad to leave her family, she is oh so joyous to be reunited with her loved ones in Heaven, in particular, her only son, Paulie.

Cathy lived a very colorful life, to say the least. Her world was her children and those whom she loved. If you knew her, you knew why she didn’t care for any legal holidays with no mail because there would always be “double bills tomorrow.”

She loved, and she loved hard, leaving behind her daughter, Missy (Paul); granddaughter, Krista; great-granddaughter, Makyia; brand new great-grandson, Marshawn Jr.; grandson, Paul Thomas; and great-granddaughter, Miya. In addition, brother, Billy (Terrilynn) and sister, Sissy (Chuckie); and a loving host of nieces and nephews, along with friends who will forever cherish her memory and laugh. She also wished to acknowledge very special friends, John Messer and Shorty.

Catherine was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jimmy; sister, Ruth Anne; her beloved son, Paul; and loving partner, James Neapolitan.

A very heartfelt thank you to her extraordinary niece, Billie, who was so instrumental, loving and helpful through the last year of her life.

Per Cathy’s wishes, there will be no services. She just wants you to smile when you think of her.
