Catherine E. Albaugh 1953-2026

Catherine was born Aug. 5, 1953, in Youngstown, the daughter of the late Frank Sr. and Martha Park Sarna. She was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School, Class of 1971, and attended Youngstown State University.

Catherine married the love of her life, Dennis Albaugh, on Sept. 22, 1973, and together they raised three children. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and a member of Holy Family Church as well as a lover of her dogs (including Cooper). She was a devoted grandmother and extremely proud of her grandchildren.

Catherine leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving and devoted husband of 52 years, Dennis M. Albaugh of Poland; three children, Chris Justice and her husband, Jason, of Poland; Steve Albaugh and his wife, Holly, of Greenford; and Scott Albaugh and his wife, Melinda, of Poland; one sister, Mary Keffer of Howland; and one brother, Frank Sanrna Jr. of Warren; as well as 10 grandchildren, Nicolas, Mia, Jayla, Christian, Josh, Maggie, Katie, Peyton, Adam and Jessica.

We want to thank Hospice of the Valley for all of their compassionate care and family support.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations towards hospice care or any animal charity organization.

Family and friends may call 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2026, at Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Poland Chapel.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 19, 2026, at Holy Family Church in Poland, preceded by closing prayers at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home and processing over to Holy Family Church for Mass.
