Caroline Rudnicki 1931-2026
YOUNGSTOWN — Caroline “Carrie” Rudnicki, 94, passed away Thursday morning, Feb. 19, 2026, at Austintown Healthcare Center.
Carrie was born Aug. 15, 1931, in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Nicholas and Anna Kolatich Herzich.
Carrie graduated from Wilson High School. She married her loving husband, Stanley, in 1952 and lived and raised a family in Austintown. She worked as a stockroom clerk and manager for JCPenney at the Mahoning Plaza and Austintown Plaza locations. Carrie was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church and was active in its Altar and Rosary Society. She volunteered at the St. Vincent de Paul Society, St. Stanislaus Ladies Guild and Ladies Auxiliary Catholic War Veterans Post 1222.
Carrie is survived by sons, Robert (Stacy) and Ronald (Michelle); grandsons, Jonathan (Maria Rojas) and Joshua (Michele); and great-grandchildren, Silas, Jude and Maeve.
She was predeceased by her husband, Stanley, whom she married March 25, 1952, and who passed away Oct. 14, 2015; sisters, Mary Ann Scott, Margaret Herzick and Dorothy Wilson; and brothers, Steve Herzick and Nicholas Herzick.
Family and friends may pay their respects 1 to 3 p.m. Monday at Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel, where a funeral service will follow at 3 p.m.
