Barbara D. Jones 1957-2026

She was born April 5, 1957, in Youngstown, the daughter of Eugene S. and Emerald Zimmerman Hastie.

Barbara was a graduate of McDonald High School and previously worked as a nurse’s aide. She enjoyed playing the piano and playing board games.

The most important thing to Barbara was her relationship with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was a member of the Believers Church in Warren. She was very involved in the church and was active in many Bible studies.

Barbara is survived by her son, Daniel (Alexa) Jones of Mineral Ridge; two grandchildren, Oliver and Caleb Jones; two brothers, Robert Hastie of Youngstown and Leonard Hastie of Kent; and several loving nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Emerald Jean Hillman; brother-in-law, Charles Hillman; sister-in-law, Rita Hastie; and nephew, Mark Hillman.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 16, 2026, at Holloway-Williams Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 611 Robbins Ave., Niles, 330-652-2422. Family and friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.

Burial will be in Niles City Cemetery.
