Arline R. Blystone 1925-2026

She was born April 23, 1925, in Uniontown, Pa., a daughter of the late Danzel and Mary Martin Teets. Arline’s mother raised her two girls on her own; she and her sister grew up on a farm during the Great Depression and she attended school in a one-room schoolhouse.

Arline married Robert S. Blystone on July 18, 1953, and spent her adult life as a homemaker, raising and caring for her family. Together they shared almost 34 years of marriage and many wonderful memories. He preceded her in death on Sept. 13, 1987.

She was a longtime member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Austintown.

Arline enjoyed flowers and gardening and loved working in her yard. Her greatest joy was her family, to whom she was very devoted. She was a kind, loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Arline is survived by her two children, Marianne (David) Markota of Boardman and John Blystone of Youngstown; three beloved grandsons, Mark, Joshua (Georgina) and Michael; a great-granddaughter, Francesca; a great-grandchild soon to be born; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband and parents, Arline was preceded in death by her sister, Eleanor Dunkerly, and an infant son, James.

There will be no funeral services or calling hours.

A memorial service and gathering will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 550 N. Four Mile Run Road, Youngstown, OH 44515, at a later date.

She will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband in Lake Park Cemetery, Youngstown.
