Andrew E. Tierney Jr. 1947-2026
YOUNGSTOWN — Andrew Edward Tierney Jr., 78, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Feb. 8, 2026.
Born April 3, 1947, he grew up in Hanover, New Jersey, later raising his family in Blairstown, New Jersey, and most recently residing in Youngstown.
Andrew was a proud United States Marine who served his country in Vietnam. His strength, discipline and loyalty defined him throughout his life. Following his service, he built a life on the open road as an owner-operator truck driver — a profession that suited his independent spirit and deep love for big rigs.
If you knew Andrew, you knew his heart belonged to the road — especially on two wheels. An avid Harley enthusiast, there was nowhere he would rather be than on his bike. He loved his Harleys, hot rods and trucks with equal passion. Riding wasn’t just a hobby; it was freedom, brotherhood and joy.
Andrew was a devoted member of the Wellsville Masonic Lodge 180 and served as road captain for the Pillars of Strength Chapter of the Widows Sons Masonic Riders Association. He valued the bonds of brotherhood and the sense of purpose these organizations brought into his life.
Above all, Andrew loved his family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Stacie Tierney; his daughters, Lisa Noel and her husband, James, of Bangor, Pa., and Jennifer Billings and her husband, Jeffrey, of Columbia, New Jersey; and his son, Jeffrey Tierney and his wife, Daina, of Blairstown, New Jersey.
He was a proud grandfather to Justina Noel Jozowski, James Noel Jr., Marisa Tierney and Aedyn Billings; and a loving great-grandfather to Raegan, Lynkoln and Wylee. He is also survived by his sister, Andrea Kotska and her husband, George, of Boonton, New Jersey, along with many cherished nieces and nephews.
Andrew was predeceased by his father, Andrew Tierney; his mother, Helen Charlotte Derschuck; and his beloved grandson, Kyle Andrew Tierney.
Calling hours will be 10 a.m. until the time of service at noon Saturday, Feb. 14, 2026, at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, 11 Spring St., Struthers, OH 44471.
In honor of Andrew’s love for riding, guests are welcome to wear Harley-Davidson shirts to the services Saturday.
A celebration of life will be held in New Jersey at a later date. Details will be announced when available.
He will be remembered for his strength, his loyalty, his unmistakable presence and his deep love for family, country, the open road — and all his dogs, who were always by his side.
Andrew’s legacy rides on in every mile traveled and in the hearts of those who loved him.
