Thomas Allen Crowe 1948-2025

BOARDMAN — It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Thomas Allen Crowe on Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2025, following a hard-fought battle with cancer.

Born in the heart of Amish country in Lancaster, Pa., Tom grew up in Elizabethtown with his parents and two brothers, where the three boys ran all over town and spent countless summer days riding their bikes to the local swimming pool. He graduated from Elizabethtown Area High School in 1966 and then enrolled at Frederick Community College in Maryland. He went on to build a successful career in the aluminum extrusion industry through his intense work ethic, which led him to move to the Youngstown area in 1986.

Tom was a special soul with a magnetic and contagious personality and will be remembered as a loving husband, a caring father and granddad, and a great friend. He married his adoring wife, Anna M. Ragghanti-Crowe, in May 2000. He was the proud father of Tonya and Shannon (Kevin) and granddad to Lucy and May.

He was preceded in death by his father, Sharpless W. Crowe Sr.; his mother, Pauline “Billie” Crowe; his brothers, Sharpless Jr. (“Sharpie”) and Gary; and many other dear loved ones.

Tom had a deep love of life and still longed to live it. He had a remarkable knack for keeping his finger on the pulse of trends through the decades. He was always the best dressed in the room and was already listening to artists who would soon rise to the top of the charts. He was inherently funny and could make you laugh effortlessly. He was passionate about turkey and spaghetti dinners. He loved politics and debating them. He loved traveling, especially to Myrtle Beach and on the many cruises he and Anna took together. He was wise beyond his years and would give the shirt off his back. He will be missed terribly.

A viewing will be 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2026, at Fox Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman, OH 44512.
