Sandra Burbick 1948-2026
COLUMBIANA — Sandra “Sandy” Burbick, 77, died Thursday, Jan. 1, 2026.
She was born June 13, 1948, in Youngstown, daughter of the late Mary “Pearl” Boley Boughamer and Harold Boughamer.
Sandy worked as a nurse at Salem Regional Medical Center and was a past member of the Red Hat Society. She was also a business owner who founded South Range Hair Studio in North Lima, where she worked as a nail technician before proudly passing the business down through several generations. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, shopping, baking, live theater, wintering in Palmetto, Florida, trips to the beach and traveling the world.
She is survived by her husband, Ronald “Mike” Burbick, whom she married March 13, 1967; son, Brian (Rebecca) Burbick of Columbiana; two daughters, Stephanie (Rodney) Murphy of Greenford and Ronda (Ross) Agee of Cleveland; 11 grandchildren, Harleigh (Drew), Zane, Hunter, Mason, Carter, Caleb, Ayden, Sophia, Lacie, Brennan and Summer; one great-granddaughter, Eva; brother, William “Bill” (Gwen) Boughamer of Austintown; and sister, Carol McElfresh of Toledo.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved daughter and son-in-law, Ronald and Staci Solvesky.
The family will receive friends 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 4, 2026, and 10 to 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 5, 2026, at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana.
A funeral service will be 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with Pastor Jan Winnale officiating.
Burial will take place in Columbiana Cemetery, Columbiana.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Mary’s Alzheimer’s Center, Columbiana.
