Samantha A. Nemcik 2006-2026

LIBERTY TOWNSHIP — Samantha A. Nemcik, 19, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Jan. 3, 2026, at The Cleveland Clinic.

Samantha was born March 20, 2006, in Farrell, Pa., a daughter of Robert J. Nemcik and Shelley A. Ferrara.

She was a 2024 graduate of Liberty High School. Samantha was a member of Down Syndrome Association of the Valley.

Samantha was a light in every sense of the word. She had a rare gift for making people feel instantly seen and loved. Every hug from Sam felt like it had been saved just for you, and every smile felt as joyful as if she hadn’t seen you in years. Sam’s compassion was endless; she was always the first to ask, ‘Are you okay?’ and she meant it with her whole heart.

She shined brightly through her involvement in the Miss Amazing Pageant, Night to Shine, Buddy Walk, Buddy Up Tennis, and her many activities with DSAV. Sam loved to dance at J & J Depot, adored the beach, camping and boating, and never missed a chance for a Starbucks treat, a spa day, makeup, glitter and sparkle, especially if it involved her favorite color, purple. She loved her boots, Lilo & Stitch, birthdays and Christmas with unmatched excitement.

Sam was truly a beacon of light, an angel on earth whose presence changed lives, and her love will continue to shine through all who were blessed to know her. Sam’s sparkle didn’t fade; it simply moved somewhere brighter.

She will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by her family: her father, Robert J. Nemcik (Marie Tennant) of Liberty Township; her mother, Shelley A. Ferrara of Liberty Township; grandparents, Robert M. and Dorothy Nemcik of Austintown, J.V. Ferrara (Sue Shardy) of Liberty Township, Karyn S. Carnino (Randy Maher) of Piqua and Brian Madden of Howland. She also leaves her brothers, Neil Agliolo of Oregon, Cameron G. (Laura) Nemcik of Hubbard; stepsiblings, Rachel Tennant of Hubbard, Robert A. Nemcik, Joseph M. Nemcik and Jessica A. Knerem; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, Jade, Gloria, Krista, Grant and Kori.

She was preceded in death by her step-grandmother, Susan I. Chill-Madden.

There will be services 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 10, 2026, with calling hours 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., at Kyle Funeral Homes, Vienna Chapel, 4471 Warren Sharon Road, Vienna, OH 44473.
