Robert P. Kacir 1940-2026
LOWELLVILLE — Robert Paul Kacir, 85, passed away Monday, Jan. 12, 2026, at his residence.
He was born Aug. 12, 1940, in Struthers, a son of the late Michael Kacir and Agnes Janosik Kacir, both born in Czechoslovakia.
Robert was a 1959 graduate of North High School and he attended Kent State University.
He worked as a pipefitter for Wean United and then went on to start his own business, Kacir Builders.
He was a member of horse riding clubs, snowmobile clubs and the Sokol Club.
He is survived by his son, Stephen (Lori) Kacir; daughter, Michele Kacir; grandchildren, Michael (Valerie), Nicholas, Vincent (Chloe), Anthony and Leonardo; great-grandchildren, Micah and Luca; and his niece, Kathy (RJ) Freudenberg. He is also survived by his ex-wife of 22 years, Paula Constantine Kacir.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Michael Kacir and Stephen Kacir.
Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 15, 2026, at Kirila Funeral Home Inc., 258 Poland Ave., Struthers.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 16, 2026, at Our Lady of Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church in Lowellville. Those attending Mass are to go directly to the church.
Interment will follow in St. John Cemetery, Lowellville, OH 44436.
