Linda Tufaro 1947-2025
POLAND — Linda Tufaro, 78, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2025, surrounded by her family, to be reunited with her husband, Nicholas Tufaro, in the kingdom of Heaven.
She was born Sept. 18, 1947, in New Castle, Pa., a daughter of the late James and Alice Harding.
Linda graduated from Mohawk High School in 1965. After graduation, she attended Youngstown State University and obtained a degree in nursing.
She worked at Packard Electric, where she met and then married her husband, Nicholas, in 1971. She decided, after having three children, to be a homemaker and raise her children.
Linda then returned to work at Kmart when her children were older. In 1998, Nicholas died at 51 years old. Linda then started working at the Mahoning County Auditor’s office and retired from the county after working there for 21 years.
Her hobbies were her children and grandchildren, attending every football game, baseball game, wrestling match, track meet, band night, play and taekwondo tournament. Being there for support during the birth of every grandchild, any medical operation and many other events.
Linda is survived by her children, James (RoseAnn) Tufaro, Alyson Tufaro and Samuel (Karri) Tufaro, all of Poland; grandchildren, Nicholas, Kristina, Vincent and Adrionna; brother, Edward (Francis) Harding of Enon Valley, Pa.; and sister, Dolores Burcsak of Mount Vernon.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Nicholas, and her brother, James, of Edinburg, Pa.
Family and friends may call 1 to 2:50 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 10, 2026, at Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4221 Market St., Boardman, where a funeral service will follow at 3 p.m.
