Larry R. Blake 1938-2025

Larry was born Aug. 11, 1938, in Youngstown. He graduated from Youngstown State University with a degree in business and went on to spend many years as a dedicated employee of JCPenney.

Larry will be fondly remembered for his appreciation of music and his love of golf and bowling. He also spent his time at Northfield Park Racetrack, where he made many friends and will be greatly missed.

A wonderful and devoted brother and uncle, Larry was known for his quick wit and great sense of humor. You could always count on him to play games and bring joy to family gatherings. Larry especially cherished the time he spent with his family.

Larry is survived by his sister, Ellen Barrett Carney, and his many beloved nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Anna Blake, and his sister, Mary Ann D’Sidocky. The family wants to thank the staff at Mercy Health / Hospice of the Valley for their outstanding care and support.
