June M. Bell 1936-2026

June was born April 20, 1936, in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Myron T. and Ruth L. Brick Gillam. She was a lifelong resident of the Mahoning Valley.

June was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Family was the center of her life and she especially cherished time spent with her grandchildren. In her free time, she enjoyed making crafts for family and friends, sharing her creativity and kindness with those she loved.

She was a faithful member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church.

In addition to her parents, June was preceded in death by her husbands, Jack W. Heim, whom she married Jan. 25, 1958, and who passed away May 5, 1991, and Harold E. Bell, whom she married May 20, 1995, and who passed away Jan. 14, 2017; and by three brothers, William Gillam, Charles Gillam and Richard Gillam.

June is survived by her three children, Michael A. (Debra) Heim of New Middletown, Jackie M. (Troy) Lewis and Nora A. Heim, both of Youngstown; four grandchildren, Kayla Heim, Nicole (Josh) Rosser, Leah Lewis and Samantha Combis; six great-grandchildren, Alexus, Logan, Skylar, Ryan, Kyrie and Penelope; and a sister-in-law, Lenora Gillam.

Family and friends may call 9 to 10:45 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 15, 2026, at Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, 270 N. Main St., Poland. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with the Reverend Russ Adams officiating. Interment will take place in Lake Park Cemetery in Youngstown.
