Joan Guerrieri 1934-2026
GIRARD — Joan Guerrieri, 91, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Jan. 17, 2026, at Liberty Healthcare, with her family by her side.
Joan was born June 15, 1934, a daughter of Anthony and Anna Kulin Tascione.
She graduated from Girard High School in 1952 and was a lifelong member of St. Rose Church.
Joan worked for Miller’s Flowers and The Flower Basket, but for most of her life she was dedicated to her family. She embraced this role and created a home filled with warmth, comfort and memories for a lifetime. She always prayed for one more day to be able to watch her family grow and shower them with love.
She was very active in her community as a member of the Junior Women’s Club, the Catholic Women’s Club and her card club, in which she was a member for over 50 years with her friends.
Making things beautiful, especially her home, was how Joan loved to spend her free time. She enjoyed interior decorating and gardening, and was very talented with needle and thread. She spent many hours making rosaries for the church, which were then passed on to the missions. Joan had a way of making everyone feel special through extra touches and small details. Cards and gifts were chosen with intention and given with much love.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband of 69 years, Robert “Bob” Guerrieri, whom she married Sept. 15, 1956; their children, William “Bill” (Marion) Guerrieri, Anthony (Tina) Guerrieri, Thomas (Linda) Guerrieri, John (Amy) Guerrieri, Michael (Michelle) Guerrieri and JoMarie (Jim) Jones; and sisters, Annette (Paul) Tamburrino and Diane (Bob) Forte. She also leaves behind 21 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren, with two more on the way.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Robert Guerrieri Jr., and sisters, Marie “Dolly” Vivalo and Cindy Sweeney.
A memorial Mass will be held in Joan’s honor 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 24, 2026, at St. Rose Church in Girard.
The family asks that any monetary contributions be made to the St. Rose Church Memorial Fund or Angel Fund for St. Rose School.
