Helen Mary Savage 1944-2026

She is the beloved wife of Michael; loving mother of Maureen Hayes (Todd), Deborah Savage (Keri Morgan), Dan Savage (Beth) and the late Tara Savage; dear grandmother of Andrew, Sean, Paul, Brigid, Malcolm and the late Patrick; sister of the late Bill Long; and aunt of Bill Long Jr., Marylou Barry, Tim Long and Ann Mitsopoulos.

Born in Salem, Massachusetts, Helen was a longtime resident of Stow and retired in 2005 from a career as a professor in the Williamson College of Business Administration at Youngstown State University.

Friends may call 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2026, at the Ferfolia Funeral Home, 356 W. Aurora Road (Route 82) Sagamore Hills.

Services will begin at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2026, at the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Barnabas Catholic Church.

Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Akron.
