Eric P. Baumiller 1973-2026

YOUNGSTOWN — Eric P. Baumiller passed away Sunday, Jan. 25, 2026, at home.

Eric was born April 15, 1973, in Youngstown, the son of Irwin “Tucker” and Kathleen Horvath Baumiller.

Eric graduated in 1995 from Leonard Kirtz School and was attending Active Day / Javit Court. Prior to there, he attended Bev Road.

He loved life and greeted his family and friends with a warm, beautiful smile. Eric enjoyed Special Olympic bowling, swimming, music and dances at LKS. Eric was a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Ohio State football and basketball, Cleveland Cavaliers and any basketball that would be on TV. During baseball season he would sometimes go to a game in person. He enjoyed sports from a young age, learning from his older brother and his dad. He also looked forward to his yearly trip to Camp Echoing Hills in Southern Ohio.

Eric will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by his parents; sister-in-law, Lisha Pompili Baumiller; uncle, Mike Kustra; and numerous cousins from Pennsylvania and other states throughout the country, also extended family of Hubbard (Brian’s in- laws) Gina, Robert, CaraMia Gatti, Edward and Kathy Pompili; and former caregiver and family friends, April and Cris Hernandez and children, Gabriel and Hannah.

Eric was preceded in death by his brother, who passed away Dec. 19, 2021.

Family and friends may pay their respects 9 to 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 30, 2026, at the Rossi Brothers and Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Ave., Boardman, followed by an 11 a.m.

Mass of Christian Burial at St. Luke Church in Boardman.
