Craig M. Kumer 1967-2026

LOWELLVILLE — Craig M. Kumer, 58, formerly of Penn Hills, Pa., suddenly passed away on Sunday, Jan. 4, 2026.

He was born Feb. 25, 1967.

After attending Penn Hills High School, Craig went on to play football at the University of Slippery Rock on scholarship. He worked as a recruiter at Michael Baker International.

For many years, he worked as the director of SNPJ and was a proud member of its society club. He also recently joined the Knights of Columbus and was an active member of Holy Rosary Church, where he was a Eucharistic minister and loved attending Mass with his family.

Craig loved spending time with his family and friends. His favorite pastime was playing golf, especially with his daughter, Nina. They would always playfully argue about who was the better golfer. He adored his son, Nicolas, and enjoyed having conversations about history and music with him. He also shared a special loving bond with his best buddy, a fur baby named Luca (despite him not wanting him at first). Luca will miss him dearly!

He loved to watch football and was a big Steelers fan, no matter if the season was going good or bad. He was just a funny person who always knew a bad joke to make people laugh and brought joy into every room he entered.

Always putting others before himself, Craig made sure his family and friends were taken care of, no matter what. Even with his passing, he continued his selflessness by becoming a donor through Lifebanc, where his legacy will be shared with those who need it most.

Craig is survived by his beloved wife, Pamela Donofrio Kumer; his children, Nicolas and Nina Kumer; and his mother, Evelyn Panza Kumer.

He was preceded in death by his father, Max Kumer, and his brother, Eric Kumer.

Friends may call 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 9, 2026, at Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home in Lowellville, and again 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Saturday morning. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held immediately after, beginning at 10 a.m.

He will be laid to rest in Holy Rosary Cemetery.
