Clyde Salser 1932-2025
POLAND — Clyde Salser, 93, passed away peacefully Monday, Dec. 22, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones.
Clyde was born Jan. 26, 1932, in Ravenswood, W.Va., the son of Clyde and Hattie King Salser.
Clyde dedicated 25 years of his working life to General Motors, retiring in 1981.
Known for his strong work ethic and practical skills, he carried that same dedication into his retirement years.
He found great satisfaction in yard work, tackling hands-on projects and building model remote-controlled airplanes, a hobby that reflected both his patience and precision. Clyde also had a deep passion for old cars, appreciating their craftsmanship and history. Whether working outdoors, in the garage or on a detailed model, he took pride in creating, fixing and maintaining things with care.
Clyde is survived by Flossie Salser, with whom he shared 63 years of marriage; son, Mike (Maria) Salser; daughter, Cheri Nichols; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Besides his parents, he was preceded by death by his siblings, Betty Salser Kee, Joseph Salser, Larry Salser, Bob Salser, Ted Salser, Violet Salser Bowman and Bud Chichester; as well as his son, Steve Salser.
Family and friends may pay their respects 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 10, 2026, at the Rossi Brothers and Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Ave., Boardman, followed by a 4 p.m. memorial service.
Clyde will be remembered for his dedication to family and the pride he took in making his yard the best looking in the neighborhood. His legacy lives on through the family he loved and the many memories he leaves behind.
