Catherine M. Koehler 1952-2025

BOARDMAN — Catherine Mary Koehler, 73, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Dec. 21, 2025, at Hospice House in Poland.

She was born April 8, 1952, in Denver, Colorado. Her birth parents, Don and Mary Elizabeth Slocumb Andersen, preceded Cathi in death. Her stepmother, Christine Andersen, resides in Sarasota, Florida.

Cathi and Bob, her loving husband of over 48 years, were married in Colorado and later moved to Ohio, where they raised and loved two beautiful daughters, Angela Dawn and Pamela Denise. Cathi had a special loving relationship that she and her daughters cherished.

Cathi was a devoted woman of faith as she worked over 25 years as a youth director and church secretary. Her love for God shaped her heart and her home. As a grandmother, she found true happiness in being surrounded by her five grandchildren, cherishing the simple moments and creating memories that will be cherished forever by all.

She also enjoyed the comforts of her everyday routines. Watching NASCAR was something she truly looked forward to, especially when Jeff Gordon was on the racetrack. She liked staying current on world news through Fox News daily. Whether through her faith, her passions or her role as a loving wife, mother and grandma, she touched many lives with her steady presence and unwavering love.

Catherine leaves behind to cherish her memory her beloved husband, Robert “Bob” Koehler; daughters, Angela (Kyle) Hippley and Pamela (Steven) Sabatini; five grandchildren, Julia, Brennan, Sergius, Lily and Kenneth; and her sisters, Susan Heiting and Sharon Andersen.

Friends and family will be received 4 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2026, followed immediately by a celebration of life service, at Good Hope Lutheran Church, 98 Homestead Drive, Boardman, OH 44512.
