Beverly M. Savnik 1941-2026
YOUNGSTOWN — Beverly M. Savnik, 84, of Youngstown, passed away peacefully Friday afternoon, Jan. 9, 2026, at her daughter’s residence, surrounded by her loving family.
Beverly was born Dec. 21, 1941, in Mesopotamia, the daughter of Charles and Ellen Cummings Netroe.
A proud homemaker, Beverly worked hard throughout her life to provide for her family. She held cleaning contracts for homes and businesses while also working in the steel mill industry. Beverly was employed at Youngstown Sheet and Tube and later retired from Boardman Mold in 2007, at the age of 65.
She was a former member of St. Patrick Church in Youngstown.
Outside of her devotion to family, Beverly enjoyed fishing, sewing, and reading. She loved sitting on the porch watching the neighborhood with her beloved dog, Chip, listening to country music and taking road trips.
Beverly was married to her husband, George Tony Savnik, on June 21, 1958, in Virginia. They shared more than 50 years together before his passing in November 2008.
Beverly leaves behind to cherish her memory, four daughters, Theresa (Rich) Cessna, Marlene (Randy) Goss, Lisa Hippo and Loretta (Chris) Payne; 12 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Viola Netroe and Dorothy (Dan) Cline; her beloved dog, Chip; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Besides her parents and husband, Beverly was preceded in death by her daughter, Anne Galbraith; granddaughter, Charity Robertson; three brothers, Kenneth, Louis and Charles Netroe; and two sisters, Dixie Boyer and Marybelle Netroe.
Family and friends may call from 10 until 10:50 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2026, at Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4221 Market St., Boardman. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m., with Father John Jerek officiating.
Burial will take place in Green Haven Memorial Gardens in Canfield.
