Sharon Fekety-Soos 1959-2025
Sharon Fekety-Soos
YOUNGSTOWN — Sharon Ann Fekety-Soos passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Saturday, Dec. 20, 2025, at the age of 66.
Born Aug. 19, 1959, in Youngstown, she was a daughter of the late Louis Fekety and Mary Hatch Fekety White.
A proud graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School in 1978, Sharon went on to attend Raphael’s Beauty School, where she became a licensed beautician before making her mark working in environmental services at Autumn Hills Nursing Home in Niles.
To know Sharon was to know her zest for life. She found joy in the simple pleasures — whether playing casino games or sipping on her favorite Pepsi. She loved cooking and baking, and was especially known for her cavatelli and meatballs, haluski and zucchini bread.
Above all, her greatest joy came from spending quality time with her family, especially her grandsons, who brought her endless love, pride and happiness.
Sharon is survived by her life partner, Frank Soos; her daughters, Franchesca (Terry) Pitts of Girard and Jaimasena “Jamie” (Lauren) Soos of Leavittsburg; two grandchildren, Matthew and Mason Pitts; three sisters, Linda (Kenneth) Klotzle of Girard, Cindy Kelly of Youngstown and Carleen (Benjamin) DeBlasio of Struthers; a brother, Louis Fekety of Youngstown; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her brother, Ricky Fekety.
Family and friends may pay their respects 1 to 3 p.m. Monday, Dec. 29, at Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel, where a funeral service will follow at 3 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, stjude.org, or for a Mass in her memory.
