Rafael Cuevas 1957–2025

He was born Oct. 4, 1957, in Campbell, the son of Ramon Cuevas and Emilia Davila Cuevas.

Ralph was raised in Youngstown, and he retired from Calex. He enjoyed spending time gardening and was an avid painter and enjoyed listening and singing Motown oldies. He loved spending time with his family and sitting on the porch with his best friend, Carlos Viera.

Ralph’s love will forever be cherished by his three daughters, Emilia Cuevas, Angel Cuevas and Cassandra Cuevas; two grandchildren, Annelise and Braxton Crockett; his wife, Lisa Cuevas; and his niece whom he loved like one of his own, Angelica Cuevas. He also leaves four stepchildren, whom he loved like his own, Zoraida, Luciano, Fernando and Mildred Gonzalez.

He also leaves four siblings, Ernesto Cuevas Sr. (Betty), Cecilio Cuevas Sr. (Isabelle), Felipe Cuevas and Carol (Christopher) Connell; sisters-in-law, Nancy Cuevas and Corky Cuevas; and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by eight siblings, his twin, Manuel, Ramon, Ernesto’s twin, Babygirl Cuevas, Jose, Miguel, Gregorio, Lucrecia Cuevas and Gloria Sierra; his sister-in-law, Ellie Cuevas; and stepdaughter, Lizi Gonzalez.

The family will receive relatives and friends from 11 a.m. to noon Monday, Dec. 8, 2025, at the Rossi Brothers and Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Ave., Boardman, followed by a noon service.
