Patricia A. Carnes 1950-2025

She was born April 10, 1950, in Pennsylvania, the eldest daughter of the late James and Marjorie King Askey.

She had been employed at Youngstown Sheet and Tube and Volkswagen in New Stanton, Pa. She was also a union representative while working at Volkswagen.

She attended Rayen High School Class of 1968, went on to phlebotomy technician studies in Pittsburgh, and attended Eastern Gateway for accounting.

Family was the heart of Patty’s life, along with the love of her dogs — her fur babies.

Left to forever cherish the memory of Patty are her sisters, Linda K. Magness and Sue E. Matola, and Sue’s partner, Robert Wellington, all of Lordstown; brothers, Kevin P. Askey, also of Lordstown, and Cody Askey of Girard.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, James R. “Jimmy” Askey Jr.

Per her wishes, there are no services.
