Nicole L. Stupka 1986-2025
POLAND — Nicole L. “Cole” Stupka, 39, passed away Thursday, Dec. 4, 2025.
She was born March 31, 1986, in Salem, a daughter of Ronald and Linda Byers Haefke. She graduated in 2004 from Cardinal Mooney High School, where she was active on the dance line and bowling team, and, when in her senior year, participated in the state championship. Cole continued her education by graduating magna cum laude from Youngstown State University’s Williamson College of Business Administration in 2008.
On Oct. 14, 2017, she married the love of her life, Brian Stupka, and together they remodeled their beautiful home.
Nicole loved traveling with her grandparents, Harry and JoAnn, and they knew they could not leave the driveway for a trip without her. She traveled to Greece and Europe hiking and camping with Brian and their best “furry friend,” Rocco.
She will forever be remembered as a very kind, compassionate and selfless person. She knew no stranger — all you had to do was spend two minutes with her and you would be her friend. She was creative, very organized, loved to decorate her home for each holiday and enjoyed dancing.
Nicole leaves to cherish her memory, her husband and parents; her grandparents, Harry and JoAnn Byers, with whom she resided; her mother-in-law, Sandra Carano; uncles, Tom Byers and Jim Haefke; aunt, Barb (Glen) Ripple; cousins, Taylor, Abigail, Amelia and Nichole Byers, Jim, Marlayne, Jamie, Heather and Arya Tabor, Tami, Terri and Jim Haefke, and Lyndsie and Jordan Kyser; half-sister, Lisa Haefke; brother-in-law, Steve Stupka; good friends, Cliff and Carol Good, Susan Everist, Rod and Cheryl Grim, Janet Bish and Emily Kemble; and her furry companions, Rocco and Maisie.
She was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Ralph Stupka; and aunt, Linda Haefke.
Friends and family will be received 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 15, 2025, at the Davis-Becker Funeral Home in Boardman, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 10 a.m. at St. Catherine of Siena Parish-St. Charles Church.
Nicole will be laid to rest in Poland Riverside Cemetery.
