Mary Helen Balogh 1946-2025
Together again
MASURY — Mary Helen Balogh, 79, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Nov. 29, 2025, at her home.
She was born on July 18, 1946, in Youngstown, Ohio, a daughter of William and Mary Weisgerber.
She made her home in Youngstown and graduated from East High School in 1965.
She married Joseph T. Balogh in 1971, and they later moved to Masury, Ohio.
Mary Helen lived a life of service whether to her family and husband or the surrounding community. She was a caring homemaker. She was Roman Catholic and a longtime member of St. Bernadette Parish. While there she was an active volunteer and especially loved sharing her faith working in the CCD ministry. She donated her time often to help the local Hartford Optimists Club.
Mary Helen had a passion for politics and enjoyed working the polls for many years. She loved watching sci-fi and thriller movies. In her younger years, she was always ready to take a good road trip or spend time at the lake. Her grandson was a true light in her life, and she adored her time with him.
She leaves her children, Glenn Balogh of Masury, Cindy Rudinsky (Michael) of Hubbard, and her grandson, Noah Balogh.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband.
