Mary Ellen Snyder 1945-2025

NEWTON FALLS — On Saturday, Dec. 6, 2025, at 11:37 a.m., Mary Ellen Snyder went home to be with her Heavenly Father.

She was born in Greenville, Tennessee, on June 17, 1945, to Theodore and Montie Rea Shelton.

When Mary was a young girl, her family moved to Newton Falls, where she later built a beautiful life rooted in faith, family and love.

On June 30, 1961, Mary married the love of her life, Randall Snyder. Together they shared more than 50 wonderful years of marriage until Randall went home to be with the Lord in 2012.

A devoted wife, mother and homemaker, Mary dedicated her life to raising their four children and creating a warm, welcoming home.

Mary had a creative spirit and enjoyed woodworking, making handmade crafts and collecting black-and-white spotted cow figurines.

She was a proud member of General Assembly Church of God in Newton Falls, where her faith remained a guiding light throughout her life.

She is survived by her sister, Joanna (Jim) Simones; her children, Ted (Ann) Snyder, Vickie Brown, Vanessa Dickriede and Tim (Stacy) Snyder; her eight grandchildren, Cory, Allison, Seth, Brooklyn, Diane, Mark, Carl and Jennifer; as well as many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Randall, and her son-in-law, Mark Brown.

Per Mary’s wishes, a private graveside service will be held Friday, Dec. 12, 2025.

Final interment will take place in Meadow Brook Memorial Park in Champion, where she will rest beside her late husband.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Mary’s name to The Healthy Hearts and Paws Project in Warren, an organization close to her heart.
