Maria E. Stewart 1927-2025

Born Oct. 24, 1927, in Youngstown, Maria was the daughter of the late John and Rose Ciminelli Carano. She was a proud graduate of Campbell Memorial High School.

On May 23, 1966, Maria married the love of her life, Donald Stewart. The two shared almost 22 beautiful years together until his passing in 1988.

Maria spent several decades living in Alaska, where she worked as a Commissary Manager and made a warm home for herself, during her 40 years there.

Maria will be remembered for her quiet strength, love of reading, and her fondness for shopping. She especially enjoyed going out to restaurants and spending time with her beloved nieces and nephews, who brought her great joy throughout her long life.

She is survived by her many nieces and nephews, who will cherish her memory.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Claire Musolino, and her brother, Dominic Carano.

In keeping with her wishes, there will be no services.
