Karen N. Atwell 1946-2025

Karen was born Feb. 7, 1946, in Youngstown, a daughter of Francis and Lena B. Burrows Showman.

She was a 1964 graduate of North High School.

Karen was an LPN at Trumbull Memorial Hospital for many years.

Her husband, William D. Atwell, whom she married in 1967, passed away Jan. 2, 1996.

Karen will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by her family: her sons, Jeffrey (Etta) Atwell of Windsor and David Atwell of Austintown, and five grandchildren. She also leaves her brother, Keith F. Showman of Lowellville.

Beside her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband and a brother, Jeffrey B. Showman.

There are no calling hours or services.

Karen will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery in New Bedford, Pa.

Memorial contributions may be made, in Karen’s memory, to New Bedford Presbyterian Church, 151 Woodland Drive, Pulaski, PA 16143.
