June Louise Miller 1932-2025

Mrs. Miller was born in Youngstown to George and Virginia McCarrius Borak. A 1950 graduate of Rayen High School, she began her career at Hood Electric while attending Youngstown College for secretarial studies.

She married William Joseph Miller in 1953, and together they owned and operated Miller’s Casual Living for over 42 years.

Mrs. Miller was an active community volunteer. She was one of the “Wednesday Ladies” at St. Elizabeth Hospital Medical Center for 38 years. She was also a member at St. Brendan Church for 60-plus years, serving on several committees, including the Altar and Rosary Society.

She was preceded in death in May by her husband, William; her parents; her sisters, Jean Borak and Geraldine Murtha; and her brother, James Borak.

She is survived by her children, Nancy (Landon) Colquitt, Susan (Stuart) Smith, Kelly (Brian) Meenachan and William K. Miller; eight grandchildren, Elizabeth, Schuyler, Brennan, Brooke, Ryan, Mackenzie, Courtney and Maranda; and seven great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Virginia (Babe) Burwig; sister-in-law, Emmalyn Borak; and many nieces and nephews.

There will be no calling hours.

A memorial Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 5, at St. Brendan Parish, 2800 Oakwood Ave., Youngstown, OH 44509.
