Judith A. Brian 1950-2025

NILES — Judith A. Brian, 75, of Niles, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2025, at Mercy Health St. Joseph Warren Hospital.

She was born April 4, 1950, in Warren, the daughter of Robert and Virginia Conti Paris.

Judy was a 1968 graduate of Niles McKinley High School and a 1972 graduate of Youngstown State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education.

She was a dedicated elementary teacher at both Garfield and Bonham Schools in Niles, where she spent her last 20 years of teaching as a first grade teacher.

Judy was a member of Saint Pope John XXIII Parish-Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Niles, served as president of John F. Kennedy Eagles Football Moms, and was a career-long NEOEA member.

In her retirement years she served as a dedicated volunteer at St. Joe’s Cancer Center where she continued serving the community and made lasting friendships.

She enjoyed traveling, summer beach trips to Delaware and The Outer Banks with her family, cooking for family gatherings especially during the holidays, spending time with her granddaughter, and was an avid Notre Dame football fan.

She will be sadly missed by her husband, Gary Brian whom she married June 17, 1972; two sons, Jason Brian and his wife Emily of Asheville, North Carolina, Jeffrey Brian of Las Vegas, Nevada; a daughter, Jenna Brian of Cortland; a brother, Robert M. Paris Jr. and his wife Linda of Cortland; a sister, Carol Adam of Niles; and a granddaughter, Eleanor Brian.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law Paul Adam.

Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles, where prayers will be conducted at 6:30 p.m.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Saint Pope John XXIII Parish-Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Niles, with Fr. Leo Wehrlin officiating, preceded by a 10:30 a.m. prayer service at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Niles City Cemetery.
