Jack C. Epperheart 1935-2025

McDONALD — Jack Carl Epperheart, 90, passed away peacefully Friday, Nov. 28, 2025, in his home in McDonald, after battling a three-year illness.

Jack was born July 16, 1935, in Lawton, Kentucky, to the late George David and Viola Porter Epperheart.

Jack’s beloved wife, Yvonne, whom he spent 67 wonderful years with, preceded him in death three years earlier.

Jack is survived by his children, Kathy (Ash) Hawkins, Joyce (John) Thomas, Tim (Darren) Nash-Epperheart and Ron (Tina) Epperheart; five grandchildren, Laura (Mark) Wait, Stephanie (Dirk) DeCesare, John (Becky) Thomas, Christian (Christopher) ThomasMcDermot and Samantha Epperheart; five great-grandchildren, Logan (Maddie) Wait, Hayden Wait, Everly and Ivy DeCesare, and Olivia Thomas. Along with one stepbrother, Jimmy (Dora) Bego.

Also preceding him in death are his siblings and stepfather and stepsiblings. He is preceded in death by his wife and parents, as well as his siblings: infants Darlene and Verlie Epperheart, Earsel Porter, Lou Cline, Irene Johnson, Cloteen Roseberry and Raymond Epperheart.

Jack retired as a Millwright at General Motors in Lordstown in (1997). Jack also worked at Niles Brick Factory and U.S. Steel. Jack was a motor enthusiast and took pride in his collection of vehicles. Jack was a rare breed, loyal, honest and caring, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of his acquaintance.

The family will receive relatives and friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 3, at Lane Funeral Home, Mineral Ridge Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 4, at the funeral home.
