Elizabeth Boni 1925-2025

She was born June 26, 1925, in Hubbard, the daughter of the late Anthony and Ann Affinito DeLucia.

Betty owned and operated the Ohio Carpet Company, in Boardman, for over 50 years and was a long-time member of Tippecanoe Country Club, Canfield, where she enjoyed numerous outings and dinners with family and lifelong friends.

Betty also wintered in both Arizona and Florida, loved to shop, travel and visit casinos.

Betty was a fantastic cook who enjoyed preparing holiday dinners for her family.

Betty will be sadly missed by her children, Phyllis Galey, Diane (Jim) Escaja, Sandra Eldridge, Mark (Diane) Boni, Robert (Christine) Boni and Kathy (Mario) Irvello.

She is also survived by her sister, Florence Bair of Arizona as well as her grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband, Carl Boni, and brother, Robert DeLucia.

Private services were held at the Fox Funeral Home in Boardman, with the Rev. Charles Rooney O.P.

Interment was held in Calvary Cemetery.

The Boni family request any material tributes to be given, in Betty’s name, to St. Dominic Church, 77 E. Lucius Ave., Youngstown, OH 44407.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Edward J. Fox & Sons Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman.
