Dorothy J. Lepore 1932-2025
CANFIELD — Dorothy Jean Lepore, 93, passed away Saturday, Nov. 29, 2025, at home.
Dorothy was born Oct. 18, 1932, in Girard, the daughter of the late Lloyd W. and Helen D. Gantz Enoch. Prior to moving to Canfield, Dorothy was a long time resident of Youngstown’s Westside.
Dorothy was a charter member of the Newton Square Ladies Club and the Newfair book club. In her younger years she bowled in several leagues. She loved playing golf and was a member of the FemBombers golf league at Meander Golf Course for 20 years.
Dorothy loved cooking for her family and shared family recipes from four generations with them by printing a cookbook and naming it “Lepore Family Favorites.” She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother whose greatest joy was spending time with her family.
Her husband of 72 years, Frank Lepore, preceded her in death in June 2022.
Dorothy is survived by her four children, Donald (Sallie) Lepore, Janet (Richard) Russo, Loretta (Atty. George) Briach and James Lepore, all of Canfield; and five grandchildren, Daniel Lepore, Dr. Erica (Dr. Eric) Susa, Patrick (Maria) and Dr. Anthony (Katelyn) Russo and Dr. Rachel Briach; and great grandchildren, Jordan and Jack Susa, Lucia and Francesco Russo and Carmello and Valentina Russo. Dorothy is also survived by her sister-in-law, Barbara Enoch of Cypress, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Kenneth and Robert Enoch.
Dorothy was a member of St. Michael’s Church in Canfield.
Calling hours will be held at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Canfield Chapel, from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 2, and from 8:30 to 9:15 a.m. Wednesday.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Michael’s Church.
Memorial donations may be directed to a cause or charity of the donor’s choice.
