Donna Nace 1942-2025

Donna was born March 29, 1942, in Somerset, Pa., the daughter of Floyd and Margaret Gown Dove.

She was a loving wife and mother to her family and a loyal follower of Christ. She worked for Strouss’ Department Store in the Eastwood Mall.

Donna and her husband, Jim, retired to Ormond Beach, Florida. She enjoyed the beach and spending quality time with her family and friends.

Left to cherish Donna’s memory are her children, Veronica Atwell, Robert (Leigh Anne) Oakman and Betty “Peachie” Nace; longtime partner of her late son (Ronald Oakman Jr.), Susan Stancher; sisters, Marian Dove and Mary Mitchell; grandchildren, Ronald (Mari) Oakman, John (Ashley) Atwell, Lisa (Blaine) Carter and Sarah (Sam) Atwell-Sykola; and great-grandchildren, Aden, Ellie, Emett Atwell, Kennedy and Audrey Oakman, Eliza, Clara and Madeline Carter, and Ira Sykola.

Besides her parents, Donna was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, James E. Nace; her son, Ronald Oakman Jr.; sister, Anna Marie Stahl; and her brothers, William and Glen Dove.

Private services will be held Tuesday at Girard City Cemetery Chapel, where she will be laid to rest.
