Bonny E. Way 1952-2025
POLAND — Bonny Ellen Way, 73, formerly of College Street, passed away peacefully, Friday, Dec. 5, 2025, at Aventura at Assumption Village in North Lima.
Bonny was born Nov. 22, 1952, in Youngstown, the daughter of the late Robert H. and Barbara E. Jones Lowry. She was a lifelong resident of the Mahoning Valley.
A woman of strong faith, Bonny was a dedicated member of Evangel Baptist Church on Southern Boulevard in Boardman.
Bonny was a devoted homemaker who cherished her roles as a wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She treasured time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. In her free time, she enjoyed making crafts for loved ones, shopping and caring for animals — activities that reflected her generous and nurturing spirit.
Bonny is survived by her stepfather, Vincent Mariotte of Lowellville; her three children, David (Tina) Way II of Muskego, Wisconsin, Kelli Way of Boardman and Michael (Kathleen) Way of Poland; six grandchildren, Emily, David III, Jacob, Morgan, Aunnie and Joshua Way; her brothers, Robert (Melissa) Lowry of Boardman, Daniel (Becky) Lowry of New Waterford and Victor Mariotte of Lowellville; and her sister, Beverly Miletta of Jacksonville, Florida.
In addition to her parents, Bonny was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 43 years, David W. Way, whom she married Aug. 20, 1972, and who passed away Oct. 22, 2017; and by her brother, Vincent Mariotte.
Family and friends may call 10 to 10:45 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 11, 2025, at Evangel Baptist Church, 5248 Southern Blvd., Boardman. A memorial service will follow at 11 a.m., with the Reverend Randy Brunko officiating.
