Barbara C. Lepore 1955-2025

YOUNGSTOWN — Barbara C. Lepore, a beloved educator and cherished member of her community, passed away peacefully at her residence Saturday, Nov. 29, 2025, at the age of 70.

Born July 9, 1955, in Youngstown, Barbara dedicated her life to teaching and nurturing young minds. She served as a Learning Disabilities teacher at Howland Schools, where her kindness and caring nature made a lasting impact on her students and their families.

Barbara was a proud alumna of Boardman High School, followed by a Bachelor of Education degree that launched her rewarding career in education. Her vibrant personality was characterized by her kindness and her zest for life, traits that endeared her to all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

An enthusiastic decorator, Barbara was particularly delighted in celebrating the holidays, especially Christmas, where she could express her creativity and warmth through festive decorations. She found joy in sharing her love with others, often giving gifts that reflected her thoughtful nature. Barbara also cherished her time spent walking in parks, including the beautiful landscapes of the national park in California, as well as indulging her passion for baking.

Barbara’s family remembers her as a radiant figure in their lives, and her son, Richard Lepore, holds her memories close to their hearts. They will forever cherish the light that she was, a beacon of love and support that shone brightly through every facet of her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Joann James, who surely welcomed her with open arms.

A Mass of Christian Burial, honoring Barbara’s life, will be held at 11 a.m. Dec. 19, 2025, at St. Catherine Of Siena Parish, St. Charles Borromeo Roman Catholic Church, 7345 Westview Drive, Boardman, OH 44512.

Barbara C. Lepore leaves behind a legacy of love, dedication, and joyful memories that will resonate with all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her presence will be deeply missed but her spirit will surely live on in the hearts of those she touched.
