Amalia Lozano-Acosta 1958-2025

YOUNGSTOWN — Amalia Lozano-Acosta, 67, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2025.

Amalia was born Nov. 10, 1958, in Puerto Rico, the daughter of Juan and Rogelia Acosta Lozano.

Amalia was a beautiful person with a loving and giving spirit. She enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking and praising the Lord. She was truly one of a kind and passionate in everything she did. She helped raise nieces and nephews, and their children called her “grandma.” She was always there when someone needed her. A little lady with a giant heart.

She will be remembered lovingly by her children, Madeline, Orville, Robert and Jose Rodriguez; eight grandchildren, Kenneth Rodriguez, Laura Huertas, Jade Gomez, Veronica Rodriguez, Alexis Rodriguez, Ava Rodriguez, Robert Rodriguez and Grace Rodriguez; seven great-grandchildren, Ginelly, Josiah, Gabrian, Gabriella, Glory, Javier and Amara; and 12 siblings.

Family and friends may call noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 27, 2025, at the Rossi Brothers and Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Ave., Boardman, followed by a 2 p.m. funeral service.

She will be truly missed, but her spirit will live on amongst her family that loves and misses her very much. May she rest in peace!
