Allan M. Petrunak 1960-2025

He was born Nov. 2, 1960, in Youngstown, son of the late Charles and Florence Bielawski Petrunak. He was a lifelong resident of Struthers.

Allan was a graduate of Struthers High School and YSU. He worked for UPS, retiring in 2015.

Allan was a man of few words and preferred to let his humility do the talking for him. Never wanting the spotlight on him, he was most at ease when behind the scenes in any situation. Proud of his Polish and Slovak heritage, Allan made it a point to keep family traditions alive during the holidays, particularly Christmas and Easter. He had a great passion for gardening and was very proud of the wide variety of heirloom tomatoes and hot peppers he would grow every year. He was also a fan of all Cleveland sports teams and the Ohio State Buckeyes.

Allan is survived by his siblings, Charles, William and Amy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Florence Petrunak.

Family and friends will be received 9 to 10:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 2, 2026, at Kirila Funeral Home Inc., 258 Poland Ave., Struthers. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial at Christ Our Savior Parish-Holy Trinity Church, 250 N. Bridge St., Struthers.
