Wanda J. Pullin 1928-2025

MASURY — Wanda Jeanne Pullin, 97, formerly of Liberty Township, passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning, Nov. 18, 2025, at the O’Brien Memorial Health Care Center in Masury.

Jeanne was born Sept. 21, 1928, in Keokuk, Iowa, the only child of Wesley and Ruth Young McCormick. Her father moved the family to Girard to find work in the steel mills during the depression. As a child, Jeanne and her friends would ride their bikes down Shannon Road all the way from Girard to Warren.

A graduate of Girard High School, she worked for GE Electric after attending Youngstown Business School. In her late 30s, she worked at Sears in the Eastwood Mall and became the manager of the catalog department for several years.

Jeanne was a member of Pleasant Valley Church.

Her hobbies were growing flowers and vegetables as well as baking. Her fudge was called Jeanne’s fudge by all the neighbors.

She was a great mother and will be missed by all of her children, relatives, friends and neighbors.

She is survived by her children, Diane Pullin of Jacksonville, Florida, Chip (Kim) Pullin of Liberty Township and Deva Pullin of Saint Croix, Virgin Islands; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard J. Pullin Jr., whom she married April 30, 1951, and who passed away Sept. 13, 2016; and two daughters, Denise Cohol and Loraine Lynn.

A funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 21, 2025, at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home in Niles, where family and friends may call one hour prior to the service.

Burial will be in Girard City Cemetery.
