POLAND — Victoria F. Murphy passed away peacefully, Monday, Nov. 24, 2025, just days shy of her 92nd birthday.
Born Dec. 1, 1933, in Youngstown, Vickie lived a life rich in love, laughter and treasured memories.
A proud graduate of East High School, Vickie began her career at Woolworth’s before dedicating many years to General Electric, from which she ultimately retired. Vickie found joy in reading — especially the captivating novels of Danielle Steel — and relished watching old movies. One of her greatest joys was traveling with her husband, creating unforgettable experiences together.
However, the heart of Vickie’s life was her family. She cherished the times spent with her nieces and nephews, showering them with love and wisdom that will be carried through generations.
Vickie is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces, and great-great-nephews, all of whom will miss her dearly.
Vickie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Marty Murphy; her parents, Samuel Sr. and Elisa Pussino Fiumara; and siblings, Tony (Sophie) Fiumara, Samuel (Rosella) Fiumara, Luciano (Lee) Fiumara and Elizabeth (Gene) Celio.
In honor of her life, a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 29, 2025, at Holy Family Church.
Vickie will be laid to rest in Poland Riverside Cemetery beside her husband.
Vickie’s family would like to extend a special thank you to Akeso Therapy, Home Health and Hospice, as well as Cornerstone Caregiving, for all of their care and compassion.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Victoria’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, www.stjude.org.
