Robert Solomon 1939-2025
PETERSBURG — Robert Solomon, 86, died Thursday, Nov. 6, 2025, at St. Elizabeth Boardman Hospital.
He was born Jan. 20, 1939, in Youngstown, son to Peter and Helen Tovtin Solomon.
Robert was a graduate of Struthers High School, served in the U.S. Army, and was a member of the Johnson Club and SNPJ.
He enjoyed bowling, going to car shows and gardening. He also enjoyed polka and country music.
Robert is survived by his wife, Dorothy Cetor Solomon; two daughters, Sherri (Brian) Carder and Carol Solomon; his son, Robert Solomon; a brother, Martin Solomon; grandchildren, Michael Solomon, Bryan Carder and Cassandra Solomon; and a great-grandchild, Liam Jordon.
Visitation will be 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 14, 2025, at the Terry Cunningham Funeral Home, Bessemer, Pa., followed by a service at 6 p.m.
In place of flowers, monetary donations can be made to the family.
