Ray G. Wilson 1942-2025
CONNEAUT — Ray G. Wilson, 83, passed away Friday, Nov. 7, 2025, at his residence.
Ray was born Aug. 11, 1942, in Youngstown, the son of Glenn E. Wilson and Margaret A. McNally Wilson.
Ray graduated from Ursuline High School in 1960 and later joined the United States Navy in August 1960. He was honorably discharged in 1963 and was very proud to serve again in the Reserves until 1966.
During high school, he worked at Idora Park in Youngstown and had many fond memories of that time. He also worked for Wean United from 1963 to 1985 until he retired. In retirement, he worked at the Youngstown Water Department.
Ray married the love of his life, Sandra L. Kusic Wilson, on Sept. 25, 1969, and in retirement, they moved to Conneaut to live on and enjoy the lakefront. They enjoyed life in Conneaut and Ray loved to garden and spend time in his workshop. His tomatoes were always the best.
Ray and Sandy had a strong and abiding love that never ended. They are together again with the angels in Heaven.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Sandra Wilson, who died Dec. 15, 2024, and a sister, Deborah J. Wilson.
Ray is survived by his sisters, Susan (Art) LaFountain of Medina and Christine (Frank) Centofanti of Boardman; niece, Marissa (Dylan) Burkardt; nephew, Michael (Stephanie) Centofanti; and grandnephews, Lucas and Logan Centofanti.

Mass of the Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, 2025, at St. Frances Cabrini Church, 744 Mill St., Conneaut, with Fr. Philip Miller officiating. Military honors will conclude services following Mass.
Burial will take place at the convenience of the family, in Calvary Cemetery, Youngstown. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project in memory of Ray Wilson.
