Michael J. Esposito 1941-2025

CAMPBELL — Michael J. Esposito, 84, passed away Wednesday morning, Oct. 29, 2025, at Hampton Woods in Poland, following a brief illness.

Michael was born July 24, 1941, in Youngstown, a son of the late Michael L. and Marie Guzaski Esposito, and was a lifelong area resident, moving to Campbell in 1972.

He was a 1959 graduate of East High School and proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Michael worked as a letter carrier for the United States Postal Service at the Hubbard Post Office for 29 years until his retirement in 1999.

Mr. Esposito was a member of the former St. Joseph the Provider Church and a devoted fan of the Cleveland Browns and Cleveland Indians. He also enjoyed watching classic movies and television shows.

Michael is survived by his daughter, Michele M. Esposito (Steve Hanna), with whom he shared his home; a stepson, Robert (Joyce) Zastany of New Smyrna Beach, Florida; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; his sister, Mary (Al) Blazo of Canfield; his close family friend, Marshawn Peyko; his feline companion, Mya; his “granddog,” Otis; and several nieces and nephews.

His beloved wife of 52 years, Helen Sulak Esposito, whom he married Jan. 21, 1969, passed away, July 11, 2021. A son, Glenn Zastany, also preceded him in death.

Family and friends may call noon to 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 3, 2025, at Kinnick Funeral Home, 477 N. Meridian Road, Youngstown, where a funeral service will take place at 1 p.m.

Entombment will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Youngstown, where Michael will be laid to rest beside his wife.
